Group tutoring 和 study groups
辅导实践:
- 导师s assist students in clarifying, organizing, 和 formatting writing assignments.
However, tutors do not compose, type, or mark students’ assignments.
- 导师s review students’ writing to help identify sentence error patterns 和 provide students with information on how to correct the errors themselves.
However, tutors do not edit or “fix” students’ papers.
- 导师s encourage students to return for a follow up review session.
However, students are allowed two 30 minute essay review sessions per day.
- 导师s can review students’ writing 和 discuss strengths 和 areas for improvement.
However, tutors do not assess assignments for students by predicting grades.
Directed Learning Activities
Below, you will find a list of our current DLA’s which are learning activities designed 辅导中心. Each DLA offers video instruction, a h和out, or access to an outside resource designed to help you build a specific skill 和 will involve you meeting with a tutor in the 辅导中心 to check for completion 和 mastery.

- A DLA can help you learn to sharpen your writing skills without having to worry about receiving a final grade since they are credit/no credit.
- Some professors may require or offer extra credit if you bring proof that you visited the 辅导中心 和 a DLA may count for that.
- Some professors require DLAs f或者是ir class.

- Download the h和outs under the DLA.
- Work on 和 complete the assignment on your own.
- Come into the 辅导中心 to meet with a tutor to check over your work.
- Please refer to the specific instructions under the DLA you wish to complete.
